An international NGO located in Tamale seeks the services of a reliable driver to assist with all transport-related duties. The driver’s responsibilities include going on field trips with employees, collecting various packages, and maintaining a travel log to record work hours, travel-time and locations traveled to. The driver should also be able to perform routine checks on the company vehicle and maintain a service log.
To be successful in this position, the role holder must ensure that all paperwork, routine and major works, are performed in a timely fashion.
Responsibilities:
Safely transporting employees as well as various products and materials to and from office and specified field locations in a timely manner.
Provide logistics and administrative support during field activies.
Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction.
Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning and vehicle maintenance.
Ensuring that all paperwork on the vehicle including road worthy certificate, manufacturer maintenance, and insurance are up to date and renewed on time.
Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle’s coming and goings.
Promptly informing the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours.
Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid towing.
Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to Management.
