The Ghana Prisons Service wishes to inform all shortlisted candidates that screening into the Ghana Prisons Service are scheduled for the stated dates and centres below.

 


Ghana Prisons Service Screening Process

All qualified recruits are reminded that the regional screening of shortlisted applicants will be conducted at all ten (10) regional centres from 12th October to 20th November.

.

All qualified applicants are to report to their respective selected screeningcentres with their Application Summary Report and Original Copies of Birth Certificates  and Educational Certificates to continue with the  Recruitment Exercise within 12th October to 20th November. Specific dates are to be announced via text messages as the time approaches

 

Ghana Prisons Service Screening Centers

Screening centres  for all applicants are indicated on the Application Summary Report as well as in the SMS messages sent to shortlisted applicants. All qualified applicants who are yet to receive SMS messages inviting them for the screening are urged to take note of the date and report to their respective selected screening centres for mentioned exercise.

Stage 1

After the online application, shortlisted candidate’s are sent text message notifying them to continue with the rest of the process, the following stages follow:

Stage 2

Ghana Prisons Service Screening & Documentation

Successful applicants are to visit the recruitment centers as indicated in the text message to present all relevant personal and academic certificates.

The presented documents will then be inspected to verify authenticity and correlation to initial data entered while applying.

Stage 3

Ghana Prisons Service Recruitment Screening Body Selection

After the documentation you are invited for a full body inspection on a communicated date by sms to ascertain the your physique by the Ghana Prisons Service standards.

This is to ensure absence of tattoos and flat foot, excessive body building, double ear pierces for females and exposed varicose veins, amongst others.

Stage 4

Ghana Prisons Service Recruitment Screening Aptitude Test

You will be grouped into 10 to take an Outdoor Leaderless Test (OLT), This is test your convincing levels to appeal for support as a team player to solve a team problem with agility and speed.

Stage 6

Ghana Prisons Service Recruitment Screening Medical Examination 

You will go through an intense medical screening at the 37 Military Hospital at a fee to check Every part of your body for total fitness per Ghana Prisons Service standard. Results of the medical examination will determine whether you make it to the final stage

Stage 7

Ghana Prisons Service Recruitment Screening Interview

You will meet a panel of Senior Ghana Prisons Service Officers who will probe you with interview questions in an effort to identify whether you are well prepared for the Prisons Service Academy.

The scope of the Ghana Prisons Service interview covers economic, social, political and ethical areas related to the selected Arm of service. You must exhibit maximum confidence at this stage and be very meticulous in his/her vocal submissions to the panel.

After successfully going through all these stages you will be informed after the final selection has been made and will receive the Joining Instructions and the reporting date to the Prisons Service Academy.
